The guardroom of three stones,
built around 1744, still possessed at the beginning of last century a gatehouse, now defunct. This building was involved in a vast defensive system initiated by Louis XVI, who established companies coast guard assigned to guard and batteries on the coast of all Britain.
The oven ball was completed in 1794 : the cannon balls were heated red would allow to burn enemy ships!
